Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Supervisor. This role is responsible for coordinating the inbound and outbound shipment of goods, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and timely handling. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse environment and a strong commitment to accuracy, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Accurately document and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards and carrier requirements.
• Create shipping labels and documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing slips).
• Schedule and coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers and vendors.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
• Maintain organized records of all shipping and receiving transactions.
• Ensure inventory accuracy by properly labeling and storing materials.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with shipping systems (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL) and ERP or inventory software.
• Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Knowledge of international shipping practices and customs documentation (if applicable).
• Familiarity with barcoding and scanning equipment.
